march : a Manifesto on the Rights of women in the City"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"spip\">UrbaMonde joined the Global Platform for the Right to the City in his Manifesto on the Rights of women in the City<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>members and allies of the Global Platform for the Right to the City (PGDV) will join more than half of the world population to participate in the largest global campaign annual&nbsp;: the international Day of women&rsquo;s rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of 8 march, we share the Manifesto on the Rights of women in the City who have denounced the failure of those in the urban planning and the recognition of their fundamental role in the construction of cities, more fair and inclusive.<\/p>\n<p>The Manifesto highlights<strong>&nbsp;the need to adopt measures to combat discrimination<\/strong>&nbsp;against women and girls&nbsp;; the importance of ensuring their participation policy&nbsp; access to adequate housing&nbsp;; urgency enjoy cities free of violence, to be able to fully develop their capacities in economic, social, political and cultural, and to recognize and compensate for the work of care in households and communities.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"spip\">A better world<\/h2>\n<p>We will enjoy a better world if women can achieve their full potential, if they have the opportunity to participate in all levels of decision-making in the political, social, cultural, economic, and public life, if they feel safe and free, if they have affordable access to adequate housing and access to public services, if the work of care is redistributed and included in public policies, if they have a job, a dignity and an equal income, if they have their say in the planning process, production and use of urban spaces, if their diversity is recognized and respected and if they are treated with equality of gender.<\/p>\n<div class=\"spip_document_448 spip_document spip_documents spip_document_image
