{"id":1537,"date":"2023-05-10T12:36:53","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T10:36:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preview.urbamonde.org\/?p=1537"},"modified":"2025-10-14T09:49:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T07:49:06","slug":"mission-field-in-kenya-and-rwanda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/urbamonde.org\/en\/mission-field-in-kenya-and-rwanda\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission field in Kenya and Rwanda"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"spip\">In April 2023, our consultant Florent Chiappero conducted a field mission in the framework of the project Nursery Urban.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Rwanda<\/strong>, a tour of sites in two precarious neighbourhoods of the capital, Kagugu and Rwezamenyo\/Nyakabanda, has allowed to evaluate the potential deployment of a Nursery Urban.<\/p>\n<p>Many individuals and operators met with our partner GRET portend great things.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kenya<\/strong> accompanied by Simon Nyam and Gautier Singh-Kohler of the AFD, he went to Nairobi to visit the areas where the collective Kounkuey Design Initiative works and implement a Nursery Urban, in collaboration with Slum Dwellers International, the Akiba Mashimani Trust and the city council of Nairobi.<\/p>\n<p>They were able to discuss the methodologies and good practices of community engagement in urban development projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A lot of interesting things and a lot of topics to share with the network, Nurseries, Urban\u00a0!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/albumizr.com\/a\/F6uv\" width=\"100%\" height=\"415\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"encadre\">Since 2020, urbaMonde, Gret, urbaSEN and small house Vertical work together to animate and develop an international network of partners engaged in process innovation, urban, called Nurseries, Urban.<br class=\"autobr\" \/><a class=\"spip_in\" href=\"\/en\/animation-and-development-of-the-network-of-nurseries-in-urban-africa\/\">Learn more about this project<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In April 2023, our consultant Florent Chiappero conducted a field mission in the framework of the project Nursery Urban. &nbsp; In Rwanda, a tour of sites in two precarious neighbourhoods of the capital, Kagugu and Rwezamenyo\/Nyakabanda, has allowed to evaluate the potential deployment of a Nursery Urban.
