The project is CO-HOPE is a response to this health crisis, social and housing.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2022, urbaMonde-France has been taking part in the European research project\u00a0<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abm.lth.se\/english\/about-the-department\/subject-areas\/housing-development-and-management\/cohope\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">Collaborative Housing in a Pandemic Era (CO-HOPE)<\/a>\u00a0as part of the ERA-NET Urban Transformation Capacities (ENUTC) call with the universities of Lund (Sweden), Lyon (France), Seville (Spain), Vienna (Austria) and Robert Temel (Austria).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The research teams carried out fieldwork in 14 Collaborative Housing communities in Europe (Austria, Spain, France, Sweden, and Finland) to analyse the link between affordability, social integration, and health before and during the COVID-19 period.<\/p>\n<p>CO-HOPE has an inter- and trans-disciplinary approach, integrating complementary forms of knowledge through cooperation between academics and non-academics. urbaMonde &#8211; France participated in the development of research tools (survey, interviews, focus groups) and led four participatory workshops (\u2018Urban Living Lab\u2019), bringing together (future) residents, project facilitators, social landlords, civil servants, notaries, and architects in Lyon in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>These workshops &#8211; which also took place in Austria, Spain, and Sweden &#8211; provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the stages and players involved in setting up a Collaborative Housing project, the current bottlenecks to the emergence of new affordable projects, and the levers for scaling up this virtuous form of collective housing.<\/p>\n<p>With the\u00a0<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ens-lyon.fr\/lecole\/nous-connaitre\/annuaire\/michel-lussault\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">Ecole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure de Lyon<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.habitatparticipatif-france.fr\/?AccueiL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">Habitat Participatif France<\/a>, urbaMonde organised a public conference in Lyon in June 2024 (<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tZbviIYRUvE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">see summary video<\/a>), as well as co-creation workshops and visits to Collaborative Housing communities (Le Groupe du 4 Mars, Chamarel, le C\u00f4teau de la Chaudanne, les Choux Lents).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, based on these discussions, the results of the survey, and the CO-HOPE interviews, urbaMonde drafted and edited a\u00a0<strong>Policy Brief with policy recommendations<\/strong>\u00a0in English, followed by an extended and contextualised version in French.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this document is to\u00a0<strong>convince elected representatives at all levels<\/strong>\u00a0(municipal, metropolitan, regional, national, and European) to take action to promote affordable Collaborative Housing in its various forms because it is a vehicle for mutual aid, sharing, solidarity and quality of life, both in everyday life and in extreme circumstances such as the COVID-19 period.\u00a0<strong>Please share it widely!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>urbaMonde would like to thank\u00a0<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.habitatparticipatif-france.fr\/?AccueiL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">Habitat Participatif France<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"http:\/\/halage.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">Hal\u2019\u00e2ge<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a class=\"spip_out\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ens-lyon.fr\/lecole\/nous-connaitre\/annuaire\/michel-lussault\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">Ecole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure de Lyon<\/a>\u00a0for their contribution to this publication and their support throughout the CO-HOPE project.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/urbamonde.org\/IMG\/jpg\/whatsapp-image-2022-11-23-at-19_52.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div>First workshop in face-to-face in Seville, in a participative housing consisting of workshops and housing for the craftsman\u00b7es and their families.
