In June 2019, urbaMonde and the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights (ACHR), a partner in the Network CoHabitat, have launched a project of international cooperation of three years with the support of the Federation Geneva Cooperation.<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Based in Thailand, this\u00a0coalition<\/a>\u00a0founded in Bangkok in 1989, brings together professionals from the habitat, NGOS and community-based organizations from 20 asian countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This project aims to strengthen the regional network on asian and national networks of groups capita\u00b7es and professionals from the housing, a collaborative of the 13 participating countries\u00a0: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mongolia, Burma, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. The asian region account\u00a0many inspiring projects in the area of the habitat collective, inclusive and non-speculative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Whether it be the construction of housing that is affordable and safe, or improvement of housing and informal settlements, these projects are\u00a0are planned and managed by vulnerable populations or low-income thanks to a technical support adequate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today it is important\u00a0to give more visibility to these projects, to promote the exchange of experiences among peers<\/strong>, but also between public authorities and professionals of the habitat and to think of new mechanisms of solidarity, in order to enable them to strengthen locally and on a broader scale.<\/p>\n

Various activities will be carried out in this direction, such as\u00a0: the organization of regional meetings and national, as well as the exchange of experiences and training\u00a0 the documentation of projects of collective habitat in the 13 participating countries, including projects from the program ACCA conducted by ACHRS in 215 cities of 19 countries\u00a0 and the implementation of the financial mechanisms of solidarity international to strengthen the revolving fund and local savings groups.<\/p>\n
