October Urban 2021 : UrbaMonde joined Habitat International Coalition on climate justice
October Urban 2021 represent for us the opportunity to raise our voice for the defense, promotion and the realization of our human rights related to the habitat.
This month does not refer exclusively to urban sustainability, even if the theme of world habitat Day this year is ” Accelerate urban action for a world without carbon “. Social movements and environmental activists, grassroots organizations, NGOS, and local governments around the world are raising their voices in a common call to climate justice, articulating equality, human rights, collective rights and the historical responsibilities for climate change as a policy issue, and the ethics of urgency.
This includes many of the activities, campaigns and events held by the participant·es and partners of Habitat International Coalition – including urbaMonde is a member – you can join, support and deploy.
During the month of October and beginning of November, when the next climate summit (COP 26) will be held here and urbaMonde ask that climate justice is processed and promulgated as a fundamental human right linked to the habitat.
