Since 2014, urbaMonde co-ordinates the Network CoHabitat, an international network of federations capita·es, to civil society organisations and actors of the habitat participatory.

Participative housing is a process by which the inhabitant·es organize collectively to build towns from the bottom to the top. Together, illes plan, finance, build, manage, and improve housing, public spaces and neighbourhoods.
With the right financial support, technical, organizational, and policy, habitat participatory in community translates into urban spaces affordable, more sustainable, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of local communities and provide solutions to the challenges of contemporary urban.
What is the Network CoHabitat
We support communities to strengthen their role as designers, urban, developers and builders. We are consolidating their collective capacity for solidarity and resilience to develop long-term solutions to the challenges of climate change and social transformations.
Through collaborations, multi-directional, open-ended and focused on concrete projects, we are working together to highlight the successes and the potential of the habitat participatory, and make it more widespread and feasible in coproduisant of knowledge and information, in connecting people across the country, organizations and regions, and in co-designing financial tools affordable and collaborative.
Thus, the Network has already :
- organized meetings, workshops and events at the regional and international level around the habitat participatory
 - established global connections enduring and new partnerships between its members and key stakeholders
 - published a number of case studies
 - developed a global database of participative housing
 - organized Price of the Network to document, present and reward initiatives of regional innovation in the field of participative housing
 - through urbaMonde, set up a solidarity fund as leverage to habitat projects participatory
 - conducted campaigns in line to highlight exceptional projects of habitat participatory.
