Free live webinar on March 26

How can collaborative housing be part of the solution? The first European Affordable Housing Plan was published by the European Commission in December 2025 and will be operationalised in 2026. It aims to support EU member states in shaping affordable housing policies to boost supply, especially for people in vulnerable situations (including those facing homelessness, low-income groups, students, and essential workers).

In both urban and rural areas, Collaborative Housing projects appear to be sustainable solutions that provide permanent, affordable housing, solidarity amongst residents and with neighbours, shared spaces, and efficient land use. In very different forms across Europe, Collaborative Housing is already proving to be part of the solution to the housing crisis, but needs greater visibility, public support, and access to finance to house more people seeking permanent, affordable housing.

The NETCO Project – the Network of Cities for Collaborative Housing, and urbaMonde are organising a live webinar on the articulation between Collaborative Housing efforts by civil society and municipalities with the EU’s European Affordable Housing Plan.

You will be able to hear from and ask your questions to Grzegorz Gajewski from the EU Housing Task Force, as well as representatives from the cities of Amsterdam (NL), Bologna (IT), and Manresa (ES), and civil society organisations, from Sostre Civic (ES) and the European Community Land Trust Network.
