During a webinar on April 12, 2023, urbaMonde and urbaSEN have put in prior to the mobilization of savings community as a support for the participation of the inhabitants in the fight against flooding and habitat improvement in the suburbs of Dakar.
The floods are recurrent, constitute a major risk in Dakar and in particular its suburbs. For years, many of the projects are implemented for the prevention of this risk and the reduction of its impacts.
Through this webinar, we introduce you to the innovative forms of participation of the inhabitants developed all the steps the project PING-GIRI, which is implemented by grouping urbaMonde, urbaSEN and Gret, and is financed by the AFD : diagnosis of the risk, co-design of structures, site monitoring, financing and management of collective works.
