The new hall of Rufisque, in the region of Dakar, Senegal, was inaugurated !
This hall is the result of a long process of mobilization of actors and actresses from the bus station, from the requirements definition to its design, to the accompaniment in the establishment of a management committee dedicated to it.
Local materials were used, such as typha on the roof or the brick of compressed clay for furniture, with also the reuse of tires and broken tiles.
This project grew out of the Nursery Urban Dakar, team composed by urbaMonde, Gret, UrbaSen, Studio Baïnem and TRANSITEC, funded by the AFD – French Development Agency.
Since 2020, urbaMonde, Gret, urbaSEN and small house Vertical work together to animate and develop an international network of partners engaged in process innovation, urban, called Nurseries, Urban.
