In April 2023, our consultant Florent Chiappero conducted a field mission in the framework of the project Nursery Urban.
In Rwanda, a tour of sites in two precarious neighbourhoods of the capital, Kagugu and Rwezamenyo/Nyakabanda, has allowed to evaluate the potential deployment of a Nursery Urban.
Many individuals and operators met with our partner GRET portend great things.
Kenya accompanied by Simon Nyam and Gautier Singh-Kohler of the AFD, he went to Nairobi to visit the areas where the collective Kounkuey Design Initiative works and implement a Nursery Urban, in collaboration with Slum Dwellers International, the Akiba Mashimani Trust and the city council of Nairobi.
They were able to discuss the methodologies and good practices of community engagement in urban development projects.
