Organized to commemorate 5 years of the project inclusive of VAT, the event was the opportunity for an in-depth exploration of models of Community Land Trust (CLT) ; this in the presence of representatives of the movement from around the world.
October 28, 2023, with our partner Catalytic Communities held its 3rd national seminar in Rio de Janeiro, in which our project manager, Nina Quintas was able to participate in person.
Representative-e-s CLT Puerto Rico (Caño Martin Peña), Houston (Houston Community Land Trust) and London (theLondon Community Land Trust) participated.
This was a historic moment for the project and a unique experience of building networks and exchange of experience between CLTs around the world.
The participant-e-s have had the opportunity to discuss the potential of the model in Brazil and to see the impact of CLTs in the world, especially for vulnerable communities. This is an important step for the global movement, which is gaining more and more strength.
The next day, intervenant-e-s international leaders have visited one of the communities pilot project in Rio, Grupo Esperança, and exchanged with the resident-e-s on the history of the struggle of the community and the positive outlook that the DLC brings to the group.
